Bullfrog
This male bullfrog was found in Lisle with a large fish hook stuck in its foot. Our volunteer veterinarian was able to successfully remove the hook from the frog’s foot with minimal damage to the webbing. The process was a success and the frog was released into Willowbrook back marsh later that day!
Each year, Willowbrook receives dozens of animals that have been entangled in discarded fishing line and hooks. Unfortunately, many of these animals have injuries too severe for release and do not have such a happy outcome. Please be a responsible citizen and properly dispose of all litter in the trash.
